Hello world! I am a multimedia journalist and graphic designer in Dallas, Texas. My workplace changes every day and when people ask what I do for a living I usually refer them to a “What my friends think I do/What I actually do” illustration, and that seems to satisfy their curiosity.

I currently work for Al Día, the Spanish product of The Dallas Morning News as the paper’s Web Producer.

Previously, I was the Presentation Editor (print design) for Al Día, and a layout/copy editor for Sports at The Dallas Morning News.

Even before that, I worked as a reporter, copy editor, graphics editor and designer at The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, The Victoria Advocate and The McAllen Monitor.

Somewhere in between I also worked as an IT director and a designer of collectable sports cards to name a few odd jobs.

Computer Skills: HTML, CSS, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Premiere, Final Cut Pro.

Journalism Skills: News and feature writing, videography, photography, audio storytelling, graphic design, flash animation and interactive design.
